Monaco Northeast Explorers is a chapter of the Family Motor Coach Association especially for Monaco Coach owners in the Northeast, the Canadian Maritime Provinces and Quebec. Although those are the special geographic areas from which the club draws its members, we also welcome Monaco owners from all over the United States and Canada.
Our club provides an opportunity for its members to get together with old friends and to make new ones from within the Monaco family in our geographic area. We do this through rallies which we try to hold between May and late October, when most of the camping facilities are open in our area. Because a large number of our members are not yet retired, we try to schedule our rallies for weekends, although they may also include additional days either before or after the weekend.
Some rallies are very relaxed, with no formally planned activities but with information provided for attendees to spontaneously arrange with each other their own jaunts, to go sightseeing and/or shopping. Other rallies have organized events such as a bus tour or boat cruise. Occasionally rally hosts also plan seminars, sometimes given by vendors and sometimes by members, to enlighten or educate us on features or systems in our coaches. Always there is a wonderful opportunity to share with each other the ideas, tips, hints, and suggestions we’ve discovered for the inevitable questions we all have about how to make the best of our coaches and our lifestyle. Of course there are also wonderful places to learn about from the people who’ve “been there and done that” and whose impromptu travelogues make us want to add those destinations to our wish lists. Breakfasts, cocktail hours and dinners at our rallies are almost always group affairs, sometimes catered and sometimes pot-luck.
